Admissions Requirements

This program, which spans a full year, is looking to recruit 10 students to participate in this innovative and exciting program supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Requirements for admission include:

  1. Undergraduate student: U.S. Veteran status preferred. A limited number of non-veterans will be accepted
  2. Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident of the United States
  3. Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
  4. Completed application. (linked below)
  5. Two letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be submitted by recommenders directly to Moise Laub at, with the subject heading ‘NSF REU Trauma Program Recommendation Letter’.
  6. Personal Statement 1- 2 pages

COVID Note: To date, the summer 2022 program is scheduled to be held in person – While we are hopeful that we will be able to offer an in-person experience for Summer 2022, we must follow regulations set by the university and local, state, and federal governments.
